Control Web acquires full support of EIB bus control and visualization

EIB (European Installation Bus) is intended mainly for intelligent buildings automation, where the various EIB-equipped devices can be controlled and monitored. With the powerful and easy-to-use process control software Control Web the possibilities even grow — all operations like archiving, monitoring, etc., which are rather difficult to implement using only EIB devices, can be easily implemented in Control Web.

The EIB support in the Control Web is divided to two parts:

DataLab IF/EIB hardware device

The PC running Control Web is connected to the EIB through the DataLab IF/EIB USB device. This device connects to the EIB on one side and to the USB port of the computer on the other side.

Control Web driver for DataLab IF/EIB

The connection between Control Web application and DataLab IF/EIB device is handled by the DataLab IF/EIB device driver. The driver provides channels for exchanging of information with all connected EIB devices and also implements full EIB standard (e.g. including definition of communication objects with multiple group addresses etc.).

The Control Web driver for DataLab IF/EIB is supplied free with the DataLab IF/EIB device.
