The feature set of the new system was finished more than a year before the release. We have spent the last year by careful testing of Control Web 6 together with maintaining of the previous generation Control Web 5. So the version 6 passed all the tests and tasks together with the Service Packs 13, 14 and prepared SP15 of Control Web 5. The stability of version 6 should equal or exceed the previous generation from the time of its release.

• Virtual instrument windows can be extended with programmable menus and tool-bars

• Drivers can notify the system about data change

• Capability to pack the application file together with other files (e.g. icons) into single CWX file

• Extended wizard for generating of application WWW interface

• Extended capabilities of application WWW interface and enhancements to embedded HTTP server

• Ability to protect the CWX application by license code or hardware key

• Extended capabilities of 3D engine utilizing GPU shaders and new 3D virtual instruments

Upgrading to Control Web 6 from version 5 is quite smooth. Applications require almost no changes and device drivers are the same. The upgrade is not licensed as typical upgrade, which means users do not lost the right to continue using of version 5 when the upgrade to version 6. Both version can be installer and run together on single computer. Control Web 5 can be used to maintain existing applications while the version 6 can be used to develop new ones. There is also very advantageous upgrade available for users of Control Web 2000.
